Shell Island Seagulls Fine Art Giclee Print Of Batik

Having spent many happy holidays in North Wales, the beaches and bird life on Shell Island have inspired several of my designs- this is a particular favourite. This group of herring gulls were photographed by my Dad, as we walked along the beach watching them fly - with the crashing waves as their backdrop. The design was a mixture of about 5 photographs. Batik was the perfect medium enabling me to used the dribbly, dripping hot wax to create the waves breaking– ‘Shell Island Seagulls’ is an image full of movement, energy and the colours of the welsh coast.
